“Told it was “likely” that I had cancer. I didnt- it was a fibroid that had been there for 11 years. Have subsequently found out that this wasn’t likely at all! Had a full hysterectomy- was given the option of keeping ovaries. Had so much of my vagina removed that I haven’t been able to have sex since. Contacted PALS expecting support, sometimes ringing them multiple times a day. PALS stalled and made excuses until finally suggesting that I contacted the health board, by which time over a year had passed meaning that the time to complain had expired.”
