“I am still waiting for my gyni operation it’s been 12 months. I had womb biopsies and became very ill, the hospital said I had to have an operation and was put on a waiting list to remove womb pollops and have more biopsies. I am still waiting even though they put me on the urgent list. I have been in a lot of pain and stomach pain. I have been let down by the NHS service in Wales, as urgent operations shouldn’t take 12 months.
“My older sister years ago had the same and she was given a hysterectomy to avoid the polops turning cancerous but all they’ve done to help me is just leave me on a waiting list. It’s vital that women get the treatment they need but they don’t. I’ve lost 3 friends to cancer in the past few years due to hospital negligence and I’ve been left with no womb operation or follow up biopsies. The NHS has to change in Wales. Even urgent waiting lists are 12-2 years.
“There are many more women going through the same who are left in pain for months on end. Delayed treatments or no treatment at all.”
